About the Author
Tejaswinee is an engineer by education, a business analyst by profession and an emerging writer by passion. She belongs to the beautiful lush state of Assam in India, famous for its tea and silk and is now based in Australia.High on imagination, colours and beauty, Detective Sara Saves The Day! is her first picture book and an outcome of her fondness for mysteries combined with her love for children’s literature. Children are inherent out-of-box thinkers – this book is about giving them an opportunity to see that the solution to a problem is not always straightforward, but, at the same time, not impossible.
When Tejaswinee is not venturing out to distant fairy lands or making new friends in enchanted forests, one can find her creating digital art, making jewellery or writing flash fiction.
About the Illustrator :
PJ Reece was born and raised in Canberra. He was more into sport than art as a youngster but always liked drawing and creating things at school. As an adult PJ started to draw and paint a little bit but never studied art formally. He slowly filled up art diaries with sketches and with practise eventually began to create professional looking illustrations. PJ started to get some freelance work, sold greeting cards to a few shops and did some spot illustrations for an educational publisher. An opportunity to illustrate a book titled ‘Heads or Tails’ via Little Steps Publishing came about and the lengthy process of illustrating a full sized children’s book began. After that book, he illustrated ‘Detective Sara Saves The Day.’ Even though he had illustrated with traditional methods previously, PJ decided to illustrate the project digitally using an iPad pro. PJ Reece now lives in the Shoalhaven region of NSW, a couple of hours from Canberra, and in addition to illustrating, likes listening to music, reading, getting out and about for exercise and spending time with his family.
